Let's get started!
STEP I. Choosing the Holiday
You are in a team of 3 now. It's time to choose one of the English holidays you are going to prepare your project about: Christmas, Boxing Day, April Fool's Day, Queen's Birthday or Father's Day.
STEP II. Taking Roles
And now take a role in accordance to your special talents and skills. Would you like to be:
1. a historian
2. a culture scientist
3. a director
Each specialist is going to discover some interesting facts about his/her holiday (see step III).
STEP III. Searching the Information
A historian will find the following information about one of the English holidays:
- origin of the holiday
- date of celebration
A culture scientist will look for such facts about his/her holiday as:
- traditions of celebration
- the most interesting and unusual facts of celebration
A director will be ready to summerise all the information and congratulate everybody in appropriate way.
STEP IV. Making the Presentation
Your Power Point presentation will include the following slides (or sections if you're making the brochure):
Slide 1 - Title, names of presenters, your form
Slides 2 - 3 - origin and date of celebration of the holiday
Slides 4 - 6 - traditions of celebration
Slides 7 - 9 - the most interesting and unusual facts of celebration
Slide 10 - congratulations with your holiday
Remember! Don't read but speak, every piece of information should be presented orally!!!
